LaCAR MDx at SSIEM 2026
The Annual Symposium of the Society for the Study of Inborn Errors of Metabolism brings together the clinical, laboratory and research communities working on inherited metabolic disorders. This year's theme, "Next Generation Metabolic Medicine," invites participants to reflect on where research in the field is heading and how today's science shapes tomorrow's practice - including, in the organisers' own words, the newborns directly affected by inborn errors of metabolism.
Why we'll be there
Newborn screening is where metabolic medicine reaches the patient first; often before a single symptom appears, and at the point where early detection changes the clinical outcome.
LaCAR develops, manufactures and commercialises the assays and instruments that make that first step possible.
In Helsinki, we'll be showing how these fit together into a working screening programme: from dried blood spot collection and automated punching, through sample preparation and analysis, to traceable result interpretation and LIS transfer with GeneFoxCub.
Come and talk to us about
- Setting up or expanding a national or regional newborn screening panel
- Automating your dried blood spot workflow, from punching to reporting
- Traceable, clinician-validated result interpretation
